Verbal tics which risk diluting your impact...

"I would say..."

"Uhm..."

"That's about it."

"This may be a rubbish/bad idea but..."

"Kind of like..."

"I'm probably wrong but..."


Are there exceptions? Of course.

These are not hard and fast rules.

Context is all.

But even a moderate tightening and sharpening of language can unlock significantly greater impact.
