How Did You Choose Your Career?

The Careers Service at university I found to be a stimulating place.

Information on career paths I’d never even considered.

Live sessions and speakers on topics, companies and sectors that were entirely new to me.

But unsure which to commit to, perhaps that explains my first job: exec headhunting.

An opportunity, I felt, to delve into the careers of others, to help better understand the values by which to chart my own.

The end result?

Whether by accident or design, a career which I never once saw referenced in the library, the brochures or the reference files.
